This is simply the most elegant Spanish home I have ever had the pleasure of presenting to the market. Mrs. Benway, the original owner/builder, was uncompromising in the authentic detail with which she designed and built this brilliant two story Spanish Revival masterpiece. Fortunately, the subsequent two owners have diligently preserved that original character as curators of this museum quality example of residential architecture.

The wishing well in the private front courtyard is only a hint of the detail within. The delicately tiled entry opens to the grand formal living room with a high beamed ceiling, handsome fireplace, mahogany flooring, and a stunning lead glass picture window with stained glass details. The dining room is large and formal as well. The kitchen and breakfast room are a symphony of preserved tile and trim. There is also a guest bedroom on this first floor with a one of a kind guest bath, as well as an intimate den with rich wood flooring, stained glass window, a hidden wet bar, and even more wood details.

The wide and tiled stairway is itself a work of art that will coax an aria from any visiting opera singing guest. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and two more preserved baths that are beyond my ability to adequately describe. The master suite enjoys a large closet, sitting area, a private view balcony, and its own master bath. There is so much more, but suffice it here to mention just a few of the features: updated plumbing, updated electrical, foundation bolting, a large rear yard with pool and spa, large storage areas, and a two car detached garage.
